I knew Aubry was adorable, with a sweet and playful personality. But when she performs for marching band, she takes on many characters. She can be boisterous and comical, or elegant and ethereal. She is also pursuing a career as an artist and visual storyteller, so I knew we wanted to create a variety of image styles for her.
She had been looking forward to sharing the experience with her sister Mikaila, home from college, so they decided to brave the wet weather. On the day of her session, it rained continuously and gradually eased up in the first half hour of her session. We did her first pictures under the gazebo to keep her as dry as possible, and gradually had her peep out from under the roof. She did get the occasional water dripping from the edge of the dome.
But as a seasoned outdoor performer, I knew even in a deluge, Aubry was going to be able to portray joy, serenity, or whatever the occasion called for. Aubry didn’t disappoint. And her classic profile and brilliant blue eyes didn’t need sunny weather to look amazing. Bravo, Aubry!
