Ty was a champ to brave the 34 degree weather for his senior portraits, not factoring in the wind chill, which was considerable. The remains of the morning’s wintry mix precipitation was soaking through our shoes as we walked around, and I was thankful that at least the snow and freezing rain had stopped.
We had considered a few indoor locations for Ty’s portraits, but we really wanted to do his session at the beautiful Stone Valley Meadows in Franklin, Ohio. The private event venue can be rented for photography on days when a wedding isn’t scheduled. It features a variety of rustic settings just a few steps apart so you can get a wide variety of settings in a short period of time. In our case, we knew we only had a limited time that Ty was going to be able to look cheerful in the cold wind. Ty rose to the occasion, though, and managed to look handsome and even relaxed.
He is well on his way to fulfilling his dream of going to the Air Force or Naval Academy, and I did catch a glimpse of the grit and stamina that will help him succeed there.
With such a great location and photogenic subject, I had trouble narrowing my favorites down to a manageable number, so I’m glad the yearbook decision isn’t up to me!
What a great set of photos! This is a wonderful venue and your senior seems to look right at home there.
Doesn’t he look great? I’m so glad he was tough enough to brave the cold and do this shoot outside here. It’s easy for me to say it was totally worth it when I got to wear my coat the whole time! 🙂
