Julia wore her prom dress for her first photo session with me, and she looked like a princess. Since then, I’ve had the honor of doing her senior, engagement, wedding, one-year anniversary, and now maternity photos. She still looks like a princess, and her husband Kyle makes a handsome prince. While he is a good sport about taking pictures, he was more than happy to sit out a few and let Julia take a few solo pictures. After all, she’s the one with the baby bump.

Julia is still working full-time on her feet as an OR nurse. Although she had to take a little more care with her balance, she was able to navigate to a flat rock in the creek bed with Kyle at her side. I was glad she was sure-footed enough to stay out of the water, since that was the first spot we visited, and I didn’t want her to have wet feet for the rest of the session!

We toured the walking path, dock, butterfly meadow, and finally some low stone walls. There, a friendly little calico cat without a collar joined us and made a very good case for wanting to be the fourth cat in their household. It was pretty dark by then, so we ended the session, but I think that cat had about a 50% chance of going home with them. I think if there hadn’t been the concern of toxoplasmosis transmission with Julia’s pregnancy, the chances would have been higher.

I’m excited for Julia and Kyle to welcome their first baby into the world soon!
