Ethan has a wide variety of interests, including Ultimate Frisbee and playing ukulele, acoustic, and electric guitar. He’s also a mostly self-taught pianist and enjoys improvising music inspired by listening to classical music, as well as popular music. He’s currently interested in helping people by working in the health field, perhaps in epidemiology or neurology, but is wisely keeping his options open at the moment.
Ethan has a good friend who apparently is living a parallel life with him. Without prior planning, they showed up to Pioneer Park at the same time for their senior sessions. We only chose the site for Ethan’s session the day before, even though he had his time booked three months in advance. His friend’s photographer graciously got a picture of them together right before they left the park. I stepped aside, because there was no use confusing them whose camera to look at, and I didn’t want to crowd them like paparazzi.
As it was, Ethan had been smiling for almost two hours by that point, since we started his session at his aunt’s home, where she has a gorgeous setting for her grand piano. I pushed Ethan’s session a little past sunset, since I was really hoping for some color in the sky. As it was, it was too cloudy for the color to show up, but we still got a lovely twilight sky, which was a better fit for his outfit anyway.
Fortunately, Ethan is good with going with the flow. It’s a trait that should serve him well in life. Have a great senior year, Ethan!
