Brodie didn’t particularly want senior photos at all, but it would have been a tragedy not to do them with his fabulous bone structure. He also didn’t really want to feature baseball or soccer, even though they’ve been a big part of his life and he is interested in playing in college. He was more interested in the high-rises, historical downtown buildings, and urban street scenes, because his dream is to work on Wall Street someday.
The thunderstorms that had been going on all day cleared up right as we were leaving for his session, and by the time we got there, the sky was so bright that it was actually difficult to shoot. But we were grateful to be dry, and the puddles were great for reflections.
Eden Park was very busy, but we were there late enough that we only saw one wedding party photo session in progress. The sky clouded over again, so the light fell quickly, and we ended our session shooting him with the lights across the river. It was probably a relief for Brodie, though he had been a terrific sport for the whole session.
Good luck to Brodie in his senior year. I’m eager to see where life takes him!
