When I started to photograph Karen and Brian’s family, Lucy was only four years old. Now she’s sixteen. Even as a preschooler, Lucy was very obedient at following posing directions.
Over the last twelve years, I’ve learned some of their preferences, and they’ve definitely learned mine! They are so accustomed to my routine that even when they can’t hear me, they will adjust their posing based on where they see me looking and making some vague hand gesture.
It was a beautiful morning in one of Cincinnati’s best-loved parks, so there were so many other photography sessions taking place that I lost count. Many of the popular spots had several groups hovering, but most people were conscientious enough to try to move along quickly to give others a chance. There was a particularly lush bed of asters that was a hot spot this morning, but we were lucky enough to get a turn, and it was worth the multiple walk-bys.
Thank you, Karen, Brian, and Lucy for making this session so easy!
