Cassie’s passions are color guard and ceramics. These pursuits showcase her athleticism and her artistry in dance and the visual arts. Because the color guard program is so demanding almost all year round, she knew she would need to get her senior pictures done early, so here we were at 8 a.m. in the first week of June. I wasn’t worried that she would be able to get ready that early, since the color guard often needs to rise before dawn to be in full show makeup and hairstyle for a morning competition. Cassie delivered, true to style, bringing not only the glamour, but also her ready attitude and cheerful smile. I did try a few pictures with a serious expression, but it didn’t match her effervescent personality, and I soon gave up.
I admit that I foolishly did a Google search along the lines of “senior photo ceramics” for inspiration and came up with a lot of pictures of senior citizens working with pottery. I think Cassie is ready to expand the image of potters when she creates her dream pottery studio in the future. She can be a role model for other young artists who want to express their different forms of creativity.
Nancy is amazing. She knows how to get the right lighting and can capture so many good shots. She knows how to capture the persons passions and their inner beauty. She was a pleasure to work with very professional.
Thank you so much for your kind words, Vicky! Fortunately, Cassie has plenty of inner beauty to capture!
