When Chris and Sandra had their wedding pictures done years ago, passerby stopped to snap pictures of this ridiculously photogenic couple. Fast forward a decade or two, and what do you think their joyful union produced? Pretty much what you would guess.

The young ladies are as sweet and unaffected as they look, too. Well-mannered, gentle-hearted, thoughtful . . .  When their mom needed to be out of town, the older girl drove down from college to make sure her sister and father were fed properly. Her food choices were a little on the healthy side for her dad, who hasn’t quite embraced quinoa yet, but she tried her best.

The younger girl is now sweet sixteen, which is hard to believe. I remember not long ago, she was throwing the football with her older cousins and playing cards with her younger cousins, who obviously adored her. But sure enough, she is growing up into a lovely young lady.

Chris and Sandra have held up pretty well over the years, too, possibly because they don’t take themselves too seriously. Or maybe it’s because their daughters haven’t made them age prematurely.

It’s not just that the family is exceptionally attractive, though. They are kind and generous as well. And remarkably organized housekeepers. We were planning to do all the pictures outside, but rain drove us indoors to wait it out, and I was stunned at how neat their whole house was. No laundry or piles of “creativity” anywhere. They offered my son a snack, so I got a glimpse of the pantry closet, and it’s Pinterest-worthy. When people come into my house, I usually need to make them sign a non-disclosure agreement.

Thank you, Chris and Sandra, for the hospitality and for always making me feel like part of your family!
