Braden has been playing soccer for years. Currently, he plays for his high school as well as a club. Despite keeping up with the demands of two soccer teams, he still finds time to enjoy an active social life with his friends.

We did Braden’s portraits at Ault Park, which was busy as usual on a warm late summer evening. There were many families and picnickers, so we had to be careful not to go too crazy with the soccer ball! We tried to keep the ball motion very contained to a small spot, particularly as there was a young lady within passing distance being photographed with her violin. At one point, the wind did take the soccer ball into the fountain, but no harm was done, other than one photographer getting wet to the knees.

Braden’s friend Cole came along to keep Braden company. He did a fantastic job of keeping Braden comfortable and kicking the ball around a little with him. He is in plenty of the pictures, but I won’t post them, since I didn’t get permission first.

Braden was a perfect model for me, and soon learned the exact angle I wanted him to stand, the height where I wanted his chin, and where to put his hands for the pictures. He even mastered the “serious look” without snickering after the first few attempts. I appreciated his cooperation and his being a super quick study!
