Sam did his senior portraits in October, which means that I’m two months late in posting. He plays baritone for the Mason Marching Band, which means he was insanely busy up until the season ended in mid November. So it is pretty amazing that he was able to carve out the time to get his pictures done during the fall.
These kids spend around twenty hours a week practicing on top of school, so Sam was pretty much living between school and home, shuttling back and forth on his skateboard. It’s a practical mode of transportation when you live close to the school, and good for the environment. Pine Hill Lakes Park is right behind the school, so this was pretty much his home turf.
The band had a very successful season, winning fourth place in national competition, and Sam personally was recognized with an Above and Beyond Award by the directors, so he has much to be proud of so far this senior year!
