I’ve been taking Lucy’s picture approximately every two years since she was four. So this was a rather emotional session for me, seeing her on the edge of adulthood.
I was happy to see she wore boots to her session. She’s worn boots to every fall session except for one, so I just picture her in boots. I also intentionally recreated some of my favorite poses from her in the past. We’ve never repeated a location, so she’s had photos in Sharon Woods, downtown Lebanon, Pine Hills Lake, Pioneer Park, home, and Ault Park.
She used to be a gymnast, and she’s been cheering at Bishop Fenwick for four years now. They performed in the Citrus Bowl last winter. She’s small and light, but also very strong, so she makes a great flyer. I remember on our first session when she was four, she had good energy for the entire Gorge trail up and back and never complained or asked to be carried.
I’ve also taught her piano since she was six, so I can tell you she increases her mental toughness every year. She’s ready to take whatever the world throws at her!
