Evan spent most of his childhood living in Mason, but moved to California two years ago. The family is thriving in their new home, but they have strong roots in Ohio. Evan was back in town for college visits, so I had the joy of seeing how he had matured in the last two years and catching up with his parents.

Since he had spent most of his school career at Mason, it seemed appropriate to take a few pictures in front of the high school. The building was established in 2002, which was the year he was born. Then we moved on to nearby Pine Hill Lakes park. As handsome and cooperative as Evan is, the session still had its challenges. The young man can ride a unicycle, but had no idea how to cross his arms. Apparently, he’s made it to adulthood, and this was never an issue. And we didn’t have a unicycle here in Ohio for him to show off his skills. However, I admit the biggest obstacle was I think I spent most of Evan’s session chatting with his mother, whom I haven’t seen in two years and used to see almost daily, so there was a bit of a withdrawal thing going on.

Evan has a few schools on his short list, but some of us are rooting for him to choose an Ohio school. Just sayin’. Whatever he chooses, I wish him all the best!
