You could definitely feel the love, and not just between the bride and groom. You heard it in the pastor’s voice as he performed his daughter’s ceremony. You saw it in the artistic touches of the wedding decorations and handmade details, put together by their families and friends. You tasted it in the picture-perfect cupcakes, made by a friend, and the rest of the food, served by close family friends. And you saw the delight of the guests at watching the flower grandmothers throw their leaves.
Lauren and Trent wanted their first look to be followed by their private vows to each other. The staff thoughtfully cleared the golf carts out of a picturesque spot, but they were still in clear view of a junior golf tournament going on a few yards away. Fortunately, no stray balls interrupted their moment together.
The proximity of the golf course meant that we needed to be very careful not to step on the golf green when we took pictures. Lauren was wearing sneakers, but the couple was very careful to stay just outside the perimeter of the green.
The Mill Course Banquet Room features a waterwheel that may be removed in the near future, so the bride’s brother, Julian, reminded us to get a picture of the couple in front of it. The bride was wrapped up in a blanket that made her look like the Snow Queen of fairy tales.
The couple had the first dance and the last dance of the evening. The first dance was in front of their many well-wishers, while the last dance was played as the guests cleared the room to line up for the exit. In both you could see how Lauren and Trent clearly drew support from one another’s presence.
