You’ve seen some members of this family before in senior photos, prom photos, and other family portraits. But some of the family live in Honduras, so when they can all get together, it’s cause for celebration. And celebrations deserve family photographs.

The forecast had been alternating between thunderstorms and heat advisory for two days. Even the hour before the shoot, my weather app was predicting rain and thunder. But as it turned out, the clouds cooled us off, and the rain never showed up, so we felt very lucky. They were able to wear jeans in July without melting.

I love multi-generational portraits because you can see all the family resemblances being passed down. And as you can see, there are some fine-looking genes being passed down (no pun intended). Look at these lovely ladies!

And we won’t neglect our men in black. They were such good sports about the picture taking. Much appreciated!

These sweet girls had enough stamina to pose for a few quick solo portraits. Can you believe I didn’t even have to tell them to hug? Or pay them cash up front? And their smiles were so natural and lovely. No cheesy fake smiles or diva expressions. Such a breath of fresh air!
