I’ve known Maggie since she was a first grader. She was extremely bright, but not one to flaunt her talents. She had a gentle temper and a forgiving spirit, but also knew when to stand up for herself. And she is usually very responsible, which made it all the more surprising that she forgot to bring her viola to our session, but when you factor in that she was meeting me at 7:20 a.m., very understandable.

Maggie on her own was beautiful enough without props, makeup, or anything fancy. She wasn’t necessarily interested in taking pictures with the urbanscape, but did a couple to make me happy. Mostly, she liked to be among the flowers, especially favoring the purple ones. We wandered around the gardens in Smale Park for around an hour, and then headed up to our second location, which was interesting enough to deserve its own post coming up.
