Owen’s aunt is a photographer, but she lives in another state and wouldn’t be able to take Owen’s picture until after the fall foliage was long past, so I lucked out with the privilege of taking Owen’s pictures. Of course, there was a little extra pressure, knowing that I am very particular about certain things, and I am well aware that other photographers will have well-formed opinions of their own. But Owen is so well-mannered and obliging in front of the camera, it was a great pleasure to work with him, and his aunt has him well-trained.

We actually did his photos back in October, but I am a couple of months behind in posting. I heard that Owen’s aunt did give the photos her stamp of approval, but I suspect that has as much to do with her affection for her nephew as anything else. It’s hard not to be pleased with pictures of someone you love, after all.
