I thought Sheila and Chad’s wedding was visually spectacular, but we hadn’t even reached peak color yet. There was a whole new level of bling to be unveiled. While I waited for the wedding party to make their grand entrance, I had a chance to check out the cake, made by the BonBonerie. I loved the opulence of the peacock feathers, and borrowed the wedding rings for a quick shot.
Then the wedding party was announced. Sheila and Chad had changed into their Indian clothes for the reception, and their outfits were magnificent.
I reluctantly returned the rings, and got an extra chance to see Chad putting the ring on Sheila’s finger. I think that everyone should do a ring exchange in Indian clothes for the dramatic impact.
After a delicious Indian buffet, the newlyweds cut their cake.
Then they invited their parents to come sit on the dance floor.
After Chad gave a gracious speech thanking their parents for their support over the years, Sheila sang “Wind Beneath My Wings,” accompanied on the guitar by Tyler, Chad’s brother and best man. It wasn’t long before everyone was in tears.
Chad invited his mother for a dance as Sheila sang.
Sheila’s usually crystal clear soprano was just a little shaky and husky in the last measure of the song, but pretty much no one else could even speak right after she finished.
Then the wedding couple shared their first dance.
And it was time to start the party!
We had a few minutes here and there to get a few portraits of Sheila and Chad featuring the amazing architecture of the Bell Event Centre, with the lighting design of CSC Events.
And one last one to leave you with.
Congratulations, Sheila and Chad! I’m so happy for the two of you!
